Corn Free Baking Powder Recipe

Whether you're allergic to corn, or just trying to avoid the stuff, it's a real challenge. I frequently say I would gladly keep my dairy and gluten allergies, if only I could tolerate corn. It's EVERYWHERE! Even on many brands of toilet paper. Seriously folks, cornstarch on your toilet paper to prevent the rolls from sticking together. Another place many people don't think of finding corn is in their baking powder. It is typically made up of baking soda, cream of tartar, and cornstarch. The baking soda is the leavening agent. Cream of tartar is the acid that induces the reaction to set of the leavener. And the starch is a drying agent.

My first post!

This is both nerve wracking, and exciting! My very first blog post......ever. I really don't know where this will go, but that's half the fun isn't it! What will you find here?
